We offer a wide range of activities that cater to diverse interests and needs, ensuring a balanced mix of fun, learning, and social interaction. Our service focuses on individualised care, allowing every child to thrive in a safe and nurturing setting. We are open on weekends and during school holidays, providing essential support when families need it most.
1:1 Support
Each child receives personalised attention through our dedicated 1:1 support, ensuring that their unique needs are met. Our trained staff work closely with each participant, offering guidance, encouragement, and assistance tailored to their abilities and preferences. This individualised approach helps foster confidence and independence.
Arts and Craft Activities
Creativity is a key component of our respite service. We offer various arts and craft activities, allowing participants to express themselves through different mediums. Whether it’s painting, drawing, or creating with materials, these activities help develop fine motor skills and encourage imaginative thinking.
Messy Play
Messy play is an essential part of sensory development and exploration. Our sessions involve safe and enjoyable activities like playing with slime, finger painting, and other tactile experiences. This type of play stimulates the senses, enhances creativity, and provides a fun way to explore different textures and materials.
Sports Activities
Physical activity is important for overall well-being, and we provide a variety of sports activities tailored to the abilities of each participant. These include adapted games and exercises that promote physical fitness, coordination, and teamwork, all within a supportive and inclusive environment.
Social Interaction
Our respite service emphasises the importance of social interaction. We create opportunities for participants to engage with peers through group activities, collaborative games, and shared experiences. This fosters friendships, improves communication skills, and helps participants develop a sense of community.
Problem Solving and Puzzles
To stimulate cognitive development, we offer problem-solving activities and puzzles. These challenges are designed to be engaging and appropriate for various ability levels, helping participants improve their critical thinking, reasoning, and concentration.
Games
We provide a selection of games that are both educational and entertaining. These include board games, card games, and interactive activities that promote learning while having fun. Games are chosen to suit different interests and skill levels, ensuring everyone can participate.
Painting and Colouring
Painting and colouring activities are available for those who enjoy artistic expression. These activities not only provide a creative outlet but also help with the development of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Outdoor Play with Sand and Water
Outdoor play is a vital part of our respite service, offering participants the chance to explore and enjoy being outside. Our sand and water play area provides a sensory-rich experience that encourage exploration and creativity. These activities support physical development and offer a calming, enjoyable environment for relaxation and play.
Provision Rooms
The children also have access to our Immersion, Sensory and Ball Pit Room as and when they want. These rooms all have sensory lighting. The Immersion Room and Sensory Room both have projectors on the wall, speaks and provide the children with a relaxing environment to use if needed.
Open on Holidays and Weekends
We understand the importance of providing consistent support for families, which is why our respite service is available on weekends and during school holidays. This ensures that parents and caregivers can have peace of mind, knowing their children are engaged in safe, supportive, and enriching activities even outside of regular school hours.
