Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and comfort. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment, as well as the ability to engage positively with those in your care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.

  • Maintain a clean and organised living space through regular commercial cleaning tasks.

  • Monitor the health and well-being of individuals, reporting any concerns to relevant professionals.

  • Engage with individuals through conversation and activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.

  • Assist with mobility needs, ensuring safety during movement around the home or facility.

  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual’s condition.

  • Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a caregiving or similar role is preferred.

  • Strong skills in commercial cleaning practices to maintain hygiene standards.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of care provision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15,000.00 per year

  • cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

  • Commercial cleaning: 1 year (preferred)

  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
